Fish bowls in my experience are bad, although they are easy to maintain as they dont hold too much water (most of them) so it easy to carry and empty, and when that is done you can clean it out easily, there the good things now to the many bad things, they dont give you much choice and many people put goldfish in, don't, goldfish shouldnt be kept in a fish bowl as they arent big enough because goldfish grow very fast.
In fact there isnt many fish you can keep in fish bowls maybe four white clouds and thats about it.
If you are getting a fish bowl though try to get a big one as it is not fair on keeping fish in a small bowl, and if you do you should get a lid as many fish will jump out, believe it or not they do actually jump out.
